Rev. Shubael Bartlett Diaries, 1803-1854.

Diaries kept by Rev. Shubael Bartlett. The earliest entry dates to 1803, with the bulk being written between 1825 and his death in 1854. A sermon given in 1838 is included as well, as is information on the 200th anniversary of the First Congregational Church of East Windsor. Bartlett graduated from Yale in 1800, studied theology, and was the second pastor of the East Windsor church. Installed in 1804, Bartlett served the church for 50 years.
